Prenatal breastfeeding course description: This is a 60 min informative group class where you learn what to expect in the first few days after birth concerning the initiation of breastfeeding. There will be visuals and videos that help to support learning. Expect to receive hands on practice with positioning techniques, stimulation techniques and getting to know pumps. This educational presentation outlines the benefits of breastmilk, recommendations, positioning, infant cues, skin to skin, and what typical feeding looks like. There is time to build community, discuss the various feeding choices and start to plan for your feeding journey. Led by an experienced IBCLC this class will cover essential topics, including: ✔️ Understanding how breastfeeding works ✔️ Positioning and latch techniques for comfort and efficiency ✔️ What to expect in the first days and weeks ✔️ Recognizing and overcoming common challenges ✔️ Pumping This interactive session will provide evidence-based guidance, answer your questions, and ensure you start your breastfeeding journey with confidence.
