Service Description

Prenatal core will be hosted Mondays at 6pm. This one hour class will be offered in a 6 week series with a drop-in class option. When you come to Core, you will learn how to properly warm up your body, how to activate and strengthen muscle groups crucial for preparing the body for birth and how to properly cool down after exercise. All exercises are performed with body weight, resistance bands or light dumbbells (optional). This workout is safe and suitable for any trimester and modifications will be provided so everyone can access the exercises safely and comfortably. Core is geared towards training your transverse abdominis and your obliques. A strong core is crucial for all Mamas and will not only aid in restoration of Diastasis Recti (ab separation) but will also assist when it comes time to strengthen your abdomen post pregnancy! No experience is required and all levels are welcome! Details: -Dates: Monday, September 25- October 20 -Time: 6-7pm -Please bring a yoga mat and water to class. -Please consult with doctor before attending this class -Instructor: Amanda Morgan, ISSA Meet your instructor Amanda: Amanda is a full time Special Educator with a certification in Personal Training and Ante & Post Natal Exercise. Amanda has trained in competitive powerlifting and has taught group fitness classes since 2020. At the start of the pandemic, Amanda created The Mumsy Method; a relaxed, positive community dedicated to women’s overall health and wellness, offering weekly classes, meal plans and individual in person/online coaching. Her goal is to ensure that all students feel welcomed, comfortable and confident in their own skin at every stage of their journey.
