Music with Mary: Mini Maestros

Service Description

Music With Mary is a fun and interactive music class where babies and their caregivers will learn lullabies, rhymes, floor and lap games, action songs and dances that help stimulate a baby’s natural response to music. Little ones will have access to age appropriate instruments, and there will be songs for large and small movements. Caregivers will learn at least 2 lullabies that you can sing as part of your nap and bedtime routines. Bond with your baby in this delightful class while developing his or her listening and motor skills, language development and a sense of balance and timing. Details: -Ages: Newborn to 5 Years old -Music with Mary meets once per week and is a series of 6 classes. Meeting on Wednesdays on September 13- October 18 at 9:45am. Class is 45 minutes long. -Class is $22 (per family) or sign-up for all six classes for $120. Families are encouraged to sign-up for the full series as each week will build on the previous classes curriculum and fun. -**Series registration will be offered first on 8/26. Followed by drop-in registration on 9/2. -**When you sign-up and pay for the 6 class series. You will automatically be registered for all series dates. You will not have to select and pay for each date separately. Dates will not change and class registration in not transferable with other Music with Mary classes or dates. -Well Nested is a shoeless wellness center. Please wear or bring socks. About Mary: Mary graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. A saxophonist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, Mary has taught music courses in various schools throughout Rhode Island. She actively performs on the baritone saxophone in The American Band, a symphonic concert band here in the Ocean State, and also sings with the Carillon Women’s Chorus. In addition to music, Mary is a wife, and a mother of two young children. She and her husband run a media company and are avid podcasters. Their podcasts entertain listeners around the globe and are about pop culture, Rhode Island life, as well as book and television series. Mary loves all the music from composer Michael Giacchino, she would gladly eat mashed potatoes for every meal, and is still eagerly awaiting her acceptance letter from the Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry.
